Welcome, Bastian Conall, the newest member of our monster clan! He was born on July 25 at 14:22. Bastian weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 inches long. The whole family is surprised to be blessed with a little man, and we’re loving every minute of him. Bastian hardly ever cries, but he makes his own special noises all the time and is a very vocal little fellow. He’s also strong! He lifts his head up all the time and even managed to climb up Mommy’s chest today (wanting to eat, of course) by kicking his legs and clawing with his hands. Daddy can’t wait for him to be his little tree-climbing buddy.
Bastian was born at home in what ended up being a very quick labor and delivery, which somewhat altered birthing plans. He is happy, healthy, and came into the world content as could be surrounded by his family including his Grandma Niecy and Great Aunt Barb. The Middle Monster officially announced his name after we saw that Bastian was a he. Thanks to everyone who helped and supported us through this amazing journey. We can’t wait for Bastian to meet all of you in person!
